We believe every big feeling deserves its own story.

Sathya
Sathya is an experienced Health Strategy Leader, with over 15 years of experience working with global MNCs and digital health-tech firms focused on scaling mental wellness solutions backed by clinical research. She focuses on translating complex science into meaningful, human-centred solutions. Her work has spanned patient engagement, behavioural health, and building scalable digital platforms that improve real-world outcomes. Alongside her professional work, Sathya has been actively involved in mentoring children facing behavioural challenges and volunteering as a parent supporter in primary schools, helping young students build confidence in reading. These experiences gave her a close, practical understanding of how children process emotions, express themselves, and respond to guidance in real-world.
Why I believe in Sprig
With a background in healthcare and behavioural science, I have spent my career building human-centred solutions that support emotional wellbeing. Through mentoring children with behavioural challenges and volunteering in primary schools, I saw how capable children are — when they have the right tools to understand and express their emotions. But my deepest learning has come from being a parent. Navigating moments of overwhelm and learning to respond with patience instead of reaction made me realise that emotional development is not something to fix, but something to gently guide. This belief led me to build Sprig. Sprig uses storytelling to help children understand their feelings and create space for meaningful connection between parent and child — because sometimes, a small pause can turn a difficult moment into understanding.

Why I believe in Sprig
What I've learned most is that children are incredibly capable when given the right tools. My journey has taken me from therapy rooms to research labs, and now into digital health innovation, where I help create tools that make mental health support more accessible for families. But my most important teacher is my daughter. Through her, I've experienced the real ups and downs of emotional regulation — those moments of overwhelm, frustration, and the challenge of learning to pause and connect instead of react. It has shaped how I see emotional development — not as something to fix, but something to gently guide and grow. This is why I'm passionate about creating simple, relatable tools for children that help them understand their feelings, express themselves, and feel less alone. Books are especially powerful because they create a shared space for parents and children to connect, open up conversations, and help children learn healthy ways to express what they are feeling.Sometimes, a small pause can turn a difficult moment into a moment of understanding.
Our Mission
Parenting through big emotions is hard. We started Sprig because we believe the right story — one where your child is the hero, facing exactly their challenge — can open conversations that would otherwise stay closed. Every book we create is built on evidence-based techniques from the Gottman Institute, Harvard, Yale, and leading child psychologists worldwide.
Sprig is a brand of Story Lantern — a company dedicated to creating personalised, research-backed children's literature. All products, content, and intellectual property are owned and operated by Story Lantern.
